Not trying to hide who I am; Just no longer using the journal people have decided is the one to peruse only when they need to gather "evidence."

In other words, this is the journal for FRIENDS in the fandom, not for those who would use every entry I make to throw in my face when they suddenly turn on me for one post I make that offends them. No, this journal is for my TRUE FRIENDS. I had made a decision a while ago to let go and allow LiveJournal to be a place for fandom, friends, and fun for me, but I'll be damned if people won't let me change and grow! Huh.

About Me:
Basically, I just try to be a good person, try to treat others as I would like to be treated, and hope to receive the same in return. Unfortunately, I have Asperger syndrome complicated by severe depression, so neither of those things happens 100% of the time. I am not only incredibly gullible and therefore easily fooled by people pretending to be my friends while manipulating me into an elaborate scheme to make an ass of me, but I am also extra sensitive and prone to misinterpret people's intentions...and because I have been taken advantage of so many times...I am extra paranoid.

But, if you'll give me the chance and approach me gently and quietly and allow me to respond in kind, I think you will find me to be one of the most honest (sometimes awkwardly so), loyal, devoted people you could ever hope to know....

I would, however, like to paraphrase the reply to a comment I made in an ex-friend's journal, as she put rather succinctly what I have been trying to explain to people about myself for years:

My biggest problem is speaking my mind. This is a part of my personality that is under construction but is unlikely to change drastically any time soon, as it is very difficult for me to discern what level of fortitude is appropriate in society and what level is over the top. I only know that my current status is the latter. The good thing about it is that people will never wonder where they stand with me. The bad thing about it is that not everyone can handle hearing it, and it tends to make me unpopular with the wrong people at times, which can make things either dangerous or uncomfortable on the Internet and in real life.

Please send an e-mail by clicking here and tell me why you want to friend me, how you came upon my journal, etc. When you e-mail me, keep in mind that I have been VERY BADLY BURNED by people who said they wanted to be my friends in LJ, and then when they saw the way I posted, joined in with everyone else in spreading the word that I will, eventually, be nasty to everyone. So...you're going to have to do a lot of convincing that you aren't going to be one of those people. I am EXTREMELY paranoid at this point. Thanks for understanding.
